He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Allen and Vester Willie Hamm Posey; and his brothers, Floyd Posey, Walter Posey, Henry Posey and Robert Posey.
He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas Allen Posey (Margaret) of Columbus, J. R. and Rebecca Harris of Columbus; and his nieces and nephews, Frank Spence, Eugene Spencer, Shane Posey, Thomas Posey, Jimmy Posey, Kenny Posey, Elizabeth Spencer, Sherry Spencer, Brenda Posey and Wanda Lutane.
