We are sad to announce that on April 26, 2023, at the age of 97, Helen E. Purdue of Columbus, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Harold and Mary T. Wade Smith; her husband Ernest P. Purdue; her son William "Don" Purdue; and her siblings, Gordon Smith, Joseph Smith, Paul Smith and Mae Wilds.

She is survived by: her daughter Judith K. Artis (Lloyd) of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Katrina L. Artis Coryell (Kevin), Brian K. Purdue (Annette), Eric M. Purdue (Amy) and Melissa Purdue. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
