Gertrude Woods Obituary

The memory of Gertrude Woods of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on January 15, 2025 at the age of 98, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Seymour and Mary Roberts Seymour; and her siblings, Robert, Stephen Seymour and Joyce Samuelson.

She is survived by: her husband Tommy Woods; her children, Gloria Gelfius (Steve) of Columbus, Gary Woods (Teresa) of Columbus and R. Renae Haehl of Columbus; her grandchildren, Wendy Elwood (Mark), Matt Gelfius, Jason Woods, Holly Woods, Lydia Haehl and Parker Haehl; her great grandchildren, Chase Elwood, Jacob Elwood, Trevor Gelfius, Anna Gelfius, Kailee Wubben and Braden Miller; and her siblings, Arthur Seymour II (Yvonne) of Ottawa and Julia Christopher.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (2651 California St, Columbus, IN 47201). A reception will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Parish Hall at the Church.

In memory of Gertrude, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Riley Hospital for Children or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
