He was predeceased by: his parents, James Christopher and Dixie Ables; and his siblings, Don, Emory, Bobby and Paula.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Williams Ables; his children, Brent Ables (Amy) of Columbus and Kristen Traylor (Bryan) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Bryce, Riley, Reagan Ables, Logan, Sarah and Carson Traylor; and his brothers, Jim Ables (Ruby) of Ohio and Bill Ables (Joyce) of South Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name can be made to Garden City Church of Christ in Columbus Indiana.
