With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Murphy (Columbus, Indiana), who passed away on April 4, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Lutes Murphy and Ellis Murphy; his siblings, Everett, Bill, Ervin Murphy, Garlean Fish, Lorene Branaman, Lucille Rogers and Ruth Sherrill; and his grandson Dillon L. Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Janet P. Ratkovich; his pet Foxi; his children, Alan L. Murphy of Columbus, Kimberly J. Miller (Gerald) of Columbus and Marvin L. Murphy of Columbus; his grandsons, Cory B. Murphy of Columbus and Jesse A. Murphy of Columbus; his great grandchildren, Ava, Adele, Ayden and Erin Murphy; his siblings, Geneva Hitchcock (Ed) of Bloomington and Dean Murphy (Linda) of Columbus; and his brother-in-law Dewayne Troy Allen of Nashville, Tennessee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
