We are sad to announce that on November 8, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Esther M. Settle of Columbus, Indiana. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence A. Strahl and C. Margaret Littiken Strahl; her son Phillip Settle; and her siblings, Mary Lovins, Lucille Huckaby, Robert and Bill Strahl.

She is survived by: her husband Robert L. Settle of Columbus; her children, Randall Settle (Sandy Asher) of Columbus, Jeanette Otte (Bruce) of Columbus and Gary Settle (Lisa) of Columbus; her sisters, Alice Frodge (Lain) of Westport and Nellie Hill of Columbus; her grandchildren, Heather Otte, Luke Otte (Katie), Ben Otte, Melissa Heffer (Austin), Alisha Settle and Aaron Settle; and her great grandchildren, Mila, James, Heidi, Joseph and Joshua.

In memory of Mrs. Settle memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to the Ohio Chapel Cemetery Fund.

I always thought your mother resembled my Grandmother, Esther Wilbur. I used to see when she would check in on my Grandmother. She's one from a generation of hard working farmers. My last visit was about 5 years ago. She did remember me. My aunt Lois was along for first cousins visit. Talk about family resemblances.”
