She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Carmichael and Hazel Brock Carmichael; her husband George Barnes; and her siblings, Dorothy Stilwell, Ralph, Ray and Carl Carmichael.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Barnes (Ruth), Gloria Cochran (Ron), Mike Barnes (Rita) and Jackie Barnes. She is also survived by two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
