He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel E. Shepherd and Cora A. Medaris Shepherd; his son David F. Shepherd, Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Dawn Shepherd. He is survived by: his children, Michael Shepherd (Laura) of Columbus, Teresa Reeves (Randy) of Columbus, Steven Shepherd of Columbus and Nicole Wylie (Trevor) of Hawaii; and his grandchildren, Wendi Thompson (Matt), Christopher Shepherd, Angela Supernovich, Joshua Lowry, Daniel Reeves, Kimberly Reeves, Ryan Shepherd, Matthew Shepherd, Lucas Wylie, Cooper Wylie and Tristan Wylie. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
