She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin W. Pershing and Helen N. Pershing (Chestnut); her husband Joseph Edward Deckard; her brother Frank W. Pershing; and her brother-in-law Durward Freeman.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Joseph Thomas Deckard and Elizabeth Ann Deckard; her sisters, Janice Freeman and Sondra Francisco; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Jefferson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Homes and Crematory - Washington St (1029 Washington St, Columbus, IN 47201). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location. The Deckard family requests that those who attend the visitation or funeral service to please wear a mask.
