He is survived by: his children, Christopher Dale Vaught of Bloomington, Trent Michael Vaught (Cathy) of Brownstown and Michelle Robertson (Carl) of North Vernon; his close friend June Krebbs of Columbus; his stepchildren, Rory Martin (Melody) of Freetown, Kenneth Krebbs (Carmen) of Seymour, Tonya Steber (Arnie) of Illinois and Rochelle Stearns (Tom) of North Vernon; his adoptive daughter Kristi Dickey (Dwayne) of Tennessee; his brother Gary Neal Vaught (Caroline) of Maineville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Cindy Callahan (Tony) of North Vernon, Marsha Stearns (Perry Colett) of North Vernon, Cindy McIntosh (Greg) of North Vernon, Amanda Ross (Jerade Bonds) of North Vernon, Jesse Owens (Shy) of North Vernon, Elizabeth Robertson (Rob Murphy) of Scipio, Trentity Edwards (Eric) of Cincinnati, Maika Agpalza of Brownstown and Lois Vaught of Brownstown; and his stepgrandchildren, Austin Dickey of Tennessee, Jamison Dickey of Tennessee, Jaycee Sandusky (Kale) of Tennessee, Kennedi Carver (Jake) of Tennessee, Christopher Steber (Hannah) of Illinois, Aaron Steber of Illinois, Mieka Stearns of California, Tia Bruner (Brandon) of Westport, Natasha Owens (David Chandler) of Columbus, Donovan Martin of Freetown, Clarissa Martin (Josh Rosebary) of Freetown, Robert Swengle of Columbus, T. J, Harris of Hope and Avianna Harris of Cincinnati. He is also survived by 37 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home (420 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A masonic service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery (E 550 N, Indiana).

Memorials may be made in honor of Dale through the funeral home to the North Vernon Masonic Lodge #59 or donor's choice of organization.
