He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lillard and Pearl Elizabeth Simpson (Fields); and his siblings, Art Simpson and Ruby Simpson. He is survived by: his children, Charles Bryant (Wendy) and Glenda Kay Aikins; his siblings, Jimmie Simpson, Alice Sechrest, Jearl Dean Latham, Julia McPherson, Marilyn Stidgon and Kathleen Kupiec (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Andrea Wallace, Traci Harris (Chris), Heather Vanders, Lindsey Stathan, Charles Michael Simpson and Christopher Bryant Simpson. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
