He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alfred Bewley and Florence Abbott Bewley; his children, Melissa Mariani (David) of Morgantown and John Bewley (Tamara) of Michigan; his stepchildren, Lisa Pein of Columbus and Steven Pein (Wendy) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Tyler Nelson (Kendall), Christina Lee (Gabrial), Elisabeth Malagon (Antonio), Lauren Eads and Carter Pein; his stepgrandchildren, Autumn Monsma and Collin Monsma; and his siblings, Martin Wayne Bewley and Mary Ann Schuck of North Vernon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
