It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jane Crews (Columbus, Indiana), who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Nugent and Irma Nugent; her former husband Donald J. Newsom; her husband James Robert Crews; and her son James Michael Newsom.
She is survived by: her children, Sherri Newsom Haiderer of Columbus, Jane Taylor (Bill) of Lebanon and Jim Crews (Merry) of Indianapolis; and her grandchildren, Andy Newsom (Brooke), Eric Haiderer, Will Taylor (Amanda), Jonathan Taylor (Amanda), Amy Springman (Jared), David Crews (Jamie), Matthew Crews, Michael Crews, Jeffrey Crews and Caitlin Gardiner (Mac). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations in Betty's name may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, Asbury United Methodist Church, or Southeastern Guide Dogs in Palmetto, Florida.
