She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Freese and Christina Marcum; and her siblings, Ronald L. Freese and Phyllis J. Freese. She is survived by: her husband Donald J. Olkiewicz; her children, Mark Thomas Olkiewicz and Laura Ann Veazey; and her grandson Austin Veazey.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rittman Family Funeral Home (3855 25th St, Columbus, IN 47203). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First Christian Church through the funeral home in memory of Barbara.
