She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Ermal Day and Olive Theatice Day (Cotner); her husband Charles Irvin Bender; her son Daryl A. Bender; and her siblings, Wilbur, Donald Day, Vesta Bennett and Norma Warnick.

She is survived by: her children, Charla B. Higgins (Patrick) of Fort Wayne, Julia A. Quiring (Rick) of Decatur, TX, Kathryn R. Paseka (Brian) of Columbia City and Charles L. Bender (Anita) of Columbia City. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
