With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Adkins of Columbia City, Indiana, born in Miami, Indiana, who passed away on May 8, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Walter farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Walter is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Adkins and Cherl Adkins (Smith); his wife Eileen B. Adkins (Tanner); and his brother Victor Adkins. He is survived by: his daughters, Victoria K. Adkins, Susan J. Bills, Catherine M. Johnson (Chris) and Julia E. Phegley (Mark); and his sister Cathaline Ressler. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given in memory of Jake to Grace Lutheran Church Food Pantry or Stillwater Hospice.
