He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Minerad and Frances Romamo Bruder (Steiner); his wife Nancy Glessner; his sister Delores Frances Ankenbruck (Bruder); and his son-in-law Jeffery S. Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Elayne Davis-Johnson (Peter) of Fort Wayne, IN, Sarah Clendenen (Michael) of New Haven, IN, Linda Taylor (Christopher) of Chesapeake, VA, Judie Edmiston (Stephen) of New Haven, IN, Stephen Bruder (Diane) of New Haven, IN and David Bruder (Sallye) of Columbia City, IN; and his grandchildren, David Clendenen (Tish), Brian Clendenen (Crystal), Tyler Clendenen (Emma), Jason Clendenen (Katie), Celia Mobley (Brett), Victor Taylor (Cailin), Elizabeth Taylor, Anita Taylor and Eric Edmiston (Cammi). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Smith & Sons Funeral Home (207 N Main St, Columbia City, IN 46725). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church (315 S Line St, Columbia City, IN 46725).
