It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley M. Barnes of Columbia City, Indiana, born in Emmetsburg, Iowa, who passed away on November 17, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Peterson and Gladys Peterson (Carnahan); her husband Charles Barnes; and her siblings, John "Wayne" Peterson, Keith Peterson, Maynard Peterson, Kenneth Peterson, Geraldine Vogel, Dorothy Zimmer and Joan Vitolo.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Latta (Robert) of Fort Worth, TX, David Cullen of Bremerton, WA, Judy Lange of Bremerton, WA, Renee Anderson of Caldwell, ID, Estel "Gene" Walker of Burlington, IA and Dave Barnes (Kimberly) of Columbia City. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
