She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles P. Bates and Mary Edna Bates (Lee); and her son Charles John Leiter. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jacob "Bucky", Sophie Girl and Jack Jack; her husband John; her children, Jill M. Kramer of New Castle and David C. Leiter (Stefanie) of Anderson; her grandchildren, Jacob M. Kramer, Sophia M. Kramer, Ava K. Leiter and Jackson C. Leiter; and her brother C. Frank Bates (Debbie) of Louisville.
Memorials honoring Sharon are to be made to Big Lake Church of God in lieu of flowers.
