He is survived by: his wife Kim; his son Mason; his siblings, Sheila Morton (John) of Abilene, KS, Mike Benson (Jolene) of Brandon, SD, Mark Benson (Paula) of Bella Vista, AK and Jeff Benson of Salina, KS; and his godson Robert Freewalt.

Preferred memorials are to Mason Benson's College Fund.
