He was predeceased by: his parents, Enoch E. Carpenter and Gladys M. Carpenter (Heller); his wife Juanita J. Henline; his sons, Ricky A. Carpenter and Ronald Carpenter; and his brothers, Glenn and Wayne Carpenter.
He is survived by: his children, Karla M. Jordan of Denver, CO and Rex Carpenter (Diane) of Columbia City; and his brother Donald Carpenter of Huntington. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
