He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Hummel and Alice Hummel (Frey); and his siblings, Martha Burns and Kenneth Hummel. He is survived by: his wife Jane Hummel; his children, Angela Pettigrew (John) of Churubusco and Mark Hummel (Kate) of Goshen; his grandchildren, Sarah Jane, Lilly, Isaiah, Eli, Thea, Peyton Pettigrew, Owen, Olivia and Callen Hummel; and his sisters, Nina Shell (Adrian) of Niles, Michigan and Catherine Boren (Jim) of Huntertown.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Yeager Funeral Home (1589 Lincolnway S, Ligonier, IN 46767). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
