She was predeceased by: her parents, John S. Bantham and Irene Bantham (Leazotte); her husband Eugene Byer; her daughter Susan Byer Cearbaugh; her sister Irene Frederick; and her grandchildren, Joshua Mills and Meredith Cearbaugh.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Rouch (Richard), John Byer and David Byer (Heidi); her grandchildren, Jarod Mills (Julie), Clark Mills, Andrew Mills (Kati), Chelsie Byer (Wesley Geisler), Weston Cearbaugh (Rachelle) and Jacob Byer; and her great grandchildren, Ricky, Ryan, Danyn, Caydence, Madison, Jayce, Maxwell, Bryelle, Carter, Brayden, Emma and Clementine.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home (600 Countryside Dr, Columbia City, IN 46725). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
