He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Murphy and Marie Murphy (LaFeber); and his daughter Karen Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Carol Murphy; his daughter Linda Lehman; his grandchildren, Nicole Gaedtke, Chris Lehman and Melinda Maley; and his great grandchildren, Chloe Maley and Gavin Gaedtke.

Memorial donations may be given in memory to St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church.
