With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Arthur Gambrell of Columbia City, Indiana, born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on November 27, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Gambrell and Wilhelmina Gambrell (Siebert); his wife Carol R. Anglin (Noll); his daughter Kelly Clark; and his brother Vernon Gambrell.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy Gambrell (Susie), Trenton Anglin of Columbia City and Jennifer Hankins (Jamie) of Paris, Kentucky; his close friend Maxine Kemery; his grandchildren, Lindsey Werkheizer (Ray), Scott Gambrell, Sheena Leugers (George), Justin Hankins (Mei), Logan Hankins, Claire Hankins, Gabrielle Anglin, Isabelle Coyle (Tyler), Ashley Anglin and Tyler Anglin (Amanda); his sisters, Phyllis Schaffer (Michael) of Columbia City and Susan Stahl (Marvin) of Minnesota; and his daughter-in-law Cheryl Anglin of Columbia City. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
