He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Clayton and Clara Belle Eber (Milligan); his wife Patricia J. Goff; and his siblings, Nancy Hobbs and Richard Eber.

He is survived by: his former wife Susan Ann Frank; his children, Doug Clayton Eber (Krista Gilbert) of Columbia City, Dale Scott Eber of Fort Wayne and Jacqueline Sue Eber-Orr (Jason Orr) of Columbia City; and his grandchildren, Foster Clayton Eber and Miranda S. Eber.
