It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Arlen Barnes of Columbia City, Indiana, born in Pierceton, Indiana, who passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard M. Barnes and Naomi D. Barnes (Jones); his wife Vonda L. Knox; and his son Timothy Jefferies. He is survived by: his children, Jill Hart (Timothy) of Churubusco, Jonathan Jefferies of Columbia City and Richard Jarrod Barnes of Albion; and his sister Gloria E. Rider of Columbia City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
