He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude E. Stephenson and Sarah C. Stephenson (Schmidt); his brothers, Stephen, Claude "Butch" and Ralph Stephenson; and his stepson Kyle Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Terry L. Oliver; his children, Kendra M. Edwards (Joe) of Fort Wayne, Eugene D Stephenson II (Mary "Shannon") of Fort Wayne and Nathan R. Stephenson (Crystal) of San Diego; his stepson Michael T. McClure of Fort Wayne; and his siblings, Susan Fabricius, Mel Stephenson, David Stephenson and Phil Stephenson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
