It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Austin Eckert of Columbia City, Indiana, born in Huntington, Indiana, who passed away on September 20, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Eckert and Agnes Eckert (Campbell); his stepdaughter Kelly F. Clark; and his siblings, Earl Eckert, DeWayne Eckert and Phyllis Reith.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Eckert (Rider); his children, Greg Eckert (Laura) and Kathy Fryback (Randy); and his stepchildren, Tim Gambrell (Susie) and Jennifer Hankins (Jamie). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
