It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Asher Alton Adkins of Columbia City, Indiana, born in Weeksbury, Kentucky, who passed away on February 8, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Adkins and Hazel Adkins (Hall). He is survived by: his children, Debra Mawhorter (Tony) of Wolf Lake, Lisa Davis (Thomas Smith) of Columbia City and Jose Adkins of Mexico; his grandchildren, Baxter Davis (Sunnie), William Mawhorter, Samantha DeWells, Ashley Taylor, Anita Egner and Derek Smith (Justina Shepherd); and his siblings, Alice Thompson of West Virginia, Roy Adkins of San Diego, CA and Eddie W. Adkins (Debbie) of Wayne, WV.. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
