She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gibson and Bertha Gibson (Wilhelms); her sisters, Olive Huggins, Margaret McAfee and Mary Eva Carr; and her son-in-law Thomas E. Koch.
She is survived by: her husband Hugh R. Runkle; and her children, Michael L. Runkle of Monroeville, Sandra L. Koch of Columbia City and Melinda A. Murdock of Eastport, Michigan. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
