As Afton Jane departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Afton Jane. Though Afton Jane may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry J. Liverett and Vera A. Liverett (Newton); and her sister-in-law Faye Liverett. She is survived by: her children, Sandee Wheeler (Richard) of Milltown, Jan Dilley (John) of Fort Wayne, Barbara Banning of Columbia City and Daniel L. Banning (Lesa) of Columbia City; and her siblings, Millard Liverett of Florence, AL, James Liverett (Shirley) of Sheffield, AL and Martha Liverett of Rogersville, AL.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smith & Sons Funeral Home (207 N Main St, Columbia City, IN 46725). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
