She was predeceased by: her parents, Curl Brown and Fannie Brown; her husbands, Wayne King and Raymond Backus; her daughters, Deborah King and Tammy Richardson; her stepdaughter Tresa Backus; her siblings, Francis Hitchcock (Lewis), Bruce Thompson, Clifford Brown (Joyce) and John Brown; and her grandson Bradley King.
She is survived by: her son Matthew King (Gina); her son-in-law Tim Richardson; her stepdaughter Raeanne Coffman (John); her grandchildren, Brandon, Megan and Trevor; and her stepgrandchildren, Kyle, Bree and Stephanie. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and 9 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway Chapel (4925 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stampers Creek Cemetery.
