He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ord Stoddard and Phyllis Stoddard (Chester); his wife Linda Davidson; his sons, James Stoddard and Jerry Hodge (Lula); his grandchildren, Hannah, Dalton, Baileigh, Garrett, Lexi, Rachael, Chelsi, Dakota, Carleigh, Adam, Briar, Brantley, Harper and Preston; and his brothers, Larry and Rusty Stoddard. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of FOP, Wounded Warrior Project, Plainfield Masonic Lodge, Project Angel, Tunnels to Towers Foundation, St Jude Childrens Hospital and ASPCA.
