He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clifton Carter and Alma Cline Carter; his son Doug Carter; and his brother Jerry Carter. He is survived by: his wife Della Carter; his children, Jackie Carter, Debbie Shepherd, Kevin Carter (Julia), Susan Carter and Tracey Robinson (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Martin, Chris, Ashley, Adam and Amy; his great grandchildren, Jada, Wyatt, Kingston, Piper, Ella, Chloe and Mia; and his sister Carol Sheets (Raymond).
