He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smiley and Iris Geraldine Smiley; and his siblings, Keith Smiley, Clifford Smiley, Shirley King and Darlene Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Ward Smiley; his sons, Mike Smiley (Neoma Henry) and Brian Smiley (Lauri Smiley); his grandchildren, Kraig Sanders, Christopher Smiley, Christina Smiley and Amanda Smiley; his siblings, Harold Smiley and Brenda Keeney; and his siblings-in-law, Lonnie Keeney and Ilene Smiley. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
