He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Atkerson and Wilma Atkerson (Thacker); his daughter Jamie Luthe; and his brother Leon Atkerson. He is survived by: his wife Rita Atkerson (Wilson); his children, Jessica Lawson of Liberty, IN and Jason Atkerson (Jenny) of Cloverdale; and his sisters, Sue Williamson, Debra Carter and Patsy Pitts.
