He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cooper and Helen Cooper (Brady); his brother Johnny Cooper; and his brother-in-law Gary Couch. He is survived by: his children, James Michael Cooper Jr. (Tamara Petty), Robert D. Cooper, Tammy M. Branham (Ron) and Jesse R. Cooper (Beth Bladen); and his siblings, Kenny Cooper (Katie), Ronnie Cooper (Lynne), Linda Sigler (DeWayne) and Kathy Couch.
