He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Bennington and Helen Bennington; and his siblings, Gary and Karen. He is survived by: his girlfriend Alice "AJ" Hacker; his children, Angelique Cowens, Jimmy Dale Bennington, Darren Bennington and Anastasia Shields; and his stepsons, Thomas Hacker (Pam) and Douglas Hacker (Debbie). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a large extended family.
