He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Mankins; his children, Tammy and Jamie Turner; his grandson Brock; his siblings, Barbara Jean, Carolyn and Dennis Turner; and his stepdaughter Albenia Silotto.
He is survived by: his daughter Toni Smith of Centerville, Indiana; and his siblings, Lilly Asbury of Crawfordsville, Mary Turner of Cayuga, Loretta Stonebraker of Crawfordsville, Arletta Fleming of Cayuga, Indiana and Tom Turner of Cayuga. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
