We are sad to announce that on November 20, 2018, at the age of 91, Joseph Wayne McDowell (Clinton, Indiana), born in Universal, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil McDowell and Bertha Rippy McDowell; his siblings, James McDowell, Gerald McDowell and Betty McDowell; and his sisters-in-law, June McDowell and Edna "Pug" Edington.
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle; his daughters, Kathy Burch (Mick) of Clinton and Billi Jo McDowell of Chesterton, IN.; his sisters-in-law, Bertha Rogers (Will) of Virginia Beach, Helen Gambaiani (Larry) of Rockville, Rebecca Parsley (Andy) of Florida, Jackie Donald (Herb) of Clinton and Mary Jane McDowell of Rockville; his grandchildren, Kasey Burch (Jen) of Chicago and Jessi Purcell (Jeff) of Clinton; and his great grandchildren, Owen Purcell, Reece Purcell and Theo Joseph Burch. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Clinton First United Methodist Church.
