He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Bennett, Sr. and Marthellella Peters Bennett; his son Gary Wayne Bennett; and his sisters, Geraldine Connett, Diana Little and Helen Louise Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Christopher Bennett (Christina) of Granger, IN, Floyd "Eddie" Bennett (Tracy) of Hillsdale, Lacee Devin (Mark) of Universal and Kacee Salmon (Robbie) of Terre Haute; his siblings, Sonny Bennett (Greta) and Shirley Richards; and his grandchildren, Tristan, Saige, Braden Bennett, Caeden Bennett, Chase Bennett, Tori Linnenkamp, Kaylee, Kara and Blake Salmon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
