She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Crist and Nellie Howard Crist; her husband Donald Rippy; and her son Ray Rippy. She is survived by: her sons, Rusty (Martha) and Rob Rippy (Sherry); her sister Shirley Downing of Terre Haute; and her daughter-in-law Brenda Rippy. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
