She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Alderfer and Ruth Alderfer (Ault). She is survived by: her husband Earl Thompson; her daughter Peggy Bailey; her grandchildren, Jeff Bailey (Carrie), Jason Bailey (Karrie), Jeremy Bailey (Cassie), Kyle Thompson (Kari), Cale Thompson (Beth) and Shawn O'Dell (Sharon); her siblings, Phyllis, Mary, Howard and Wayne Alderfer; her daughters-in-law, Ladonna Thompson and Betty Thompson; her sons, Billy J. and Duane E. Thompson; and her siblings, Jessie, Clyde, Lloyd, Merle, Earl, Myron and Fred. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorial gifts in honor of Ruby may be given to the American Cancer Society.
