She was predeceased by: her mother Thelma Eileen DeLaughter (Secrist); her son Kevin; her parent Talman DeLaughter; her son Kerry Slater; her sisters, Darlene Maroney and Carolyn Maroney; and her siblings-in-law, Valeria DeLaughter and John Maroney.
She is survived by: her husband Harold G. Slater; her sons, Kim Slater (Kathy) of Claypool, Indiana, Kent Slater (Jo Ellen) of Claypool, Indiana and Kris Slater (Jill) of Claypool, Indiana; her daughters-in-law, Pamela Slater and Cindy Slater; her siblings, Darwin DeLaughter, Talman DeLaughter Jr. (Kelly), Connie Gottschalk (Joe) and Janice Gerardot; and her brother-in-law Richard Maroney.
