He was predeceased by: his father Jerry Harris; and his great-nephew Easton Nodley. He is survived by: his mother Marcheta Harris; his wife Beth Ellen; his children, Nolan Scott (Sierra Paul) and Hannah Elizabeth (Kody Hamilton); his sisters, Stacy Reeves and Stephanie Jackson (Ted); his parents-in-law, Alan and Marilyn Ewer; his sisters-in-law, Christina Rea (Thomas), Jennifer Horton (Casey) and Angela Long (Brad); and his nieces and nephews, Meranda Nodley (Travis), Madison Morris (Cameron), Macy Rogers (Evan), Kennedy, Marley Rea, Bryce, Bryar Horton, Brady, Georgia Long, Avery Nodley and Leo Morris.

During Covid, Scott saw the need for the community to still be able to experience Clay City High School athletics and Eelite Broadcasting was formed.
