He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sorensen and Leona Sorensen (Rasmussen); and his son David Sorensen. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Sorensen (Barnett); his children, Kathy Brown (Scott) of Clay City, Brian Sorensen (Kati) of Evansville and Jennifer Cooper (Steve) of Clay City; his daughter-in-law Lisa Sorensen of Mattoon, Illinois; his grandchildren, Tim Sorensen, Chris Sorensen (Nicole Zizic), Mindy Sorensen, Jessica Kimmel, Erica Stark (Landon), Matthew Kimmel, Daniel Sorensen (Hali), Zack Sorensen, Emilee Sorensen, Raelynn Cooper and Caden Cooper; his great grandchildren, Lucas Sorensen, Bridget Sorensen, Cooper Manker, Maverick Sorensen and Emerson Sorensen; and his sisters, Jackie Schmidt and Sheryl Juhl. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, parishioners, and friends.
