With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hope Maxine Schopmeyer (Clay City, Indiana), who passed away on June 15, 2019 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Hope Maxine Schopmeyer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Lawson and Bernice Lawson (Whitmer); her children, Larry Schopmeyer and Donna Matherly; her grandson Tom Matherly; and her siblings, John Lawson, Helen Williams, Bob Lawson and Ruth Lawson.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence "Bill" Schopmeyer; her daughters, Shirley Shidler of Clay City and Jane Czarnecki of Crown Point, Indiana; her grandchildren, Thad D. Shidler (Trisha), Tara Shidler, Treg Shidler (Meghan), Christina Kutch (Ian) and Matthew Czarnecki; her sister Irma Lee of Spencer; and her daughter-in-law Donna Schopmeyer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kindred Hospice in her memory.
