He was predeceased by: his siblings, Pam Harris, Gary, Jeffrey and Richard McCartin. He is survived by: his spouse Teena McCartin (Begley); his children, Stevie McCartin, Tiffany Maddox and LaWanda Thomas (Phillip); his stepchildren, Philip Siener (Heather), Tommy Siener and Michele Finn (Jeremy); his brother Timothy McCartin; his brother-in-law Steve Harris; and his grandchild Nell Quire.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Steve's memory be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (1941 Bishop Lane, Suite 108, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).
