He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Brandenburg and Doris Brandenburg. He is survived by: his wife Tammie Mathews-Brandenburg; his children, Scott A. Brandenburg, Alexsis Brandenburg, Shelby Ramos and Summer Mathews; and his siblings, Alice Brandenburg and Mark Brandenburg. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, many other family members and friends.
